Batavia/Bergen - Pearl Evelyn Priestley, 99, of Batavia, formerly of Bergen, a waitress at Genesee Community College in Batavia prior to her retirement, died Sunday, May 11, 2014 at Genesee County Nursing Home, in Batavia.



Mrs. Priestley was born February 1, 1915 in Manning, NY, a daughter of the late Maynard and Blanche (Ackerson) Brown.



She was a 54 year member of the Bergen United Methodist Church, member of the Ivy Rebekah Lodge #51 and Past Assembly Chaplain of Rebekah Assembly.



Pearl also worked as a waitress at Pat and Mac's Diner in Bergen, White Pine Diner in Byron and as a receptionist at the H.E. Turner & Co. Funeral Home for many years.



Survivors include 5 sons, Alburton (Helen) Priestley of Prescott Valley, AZ, Maynard (Patricia) Priestley of Elba, Wayne (Hildagard) Priestley of Germany, Edward Priestley of Oakfield, Terry Lee Priestley of WI; 2 daughters, Eleanor (Late Peter) Morgenberger and Dolores (Late Donald) Yeaton, both of Webster, a sister: Elsie June Rowcliffe of Elba; 25 grandchildren, 26 great-grandchildren, 15 great-great grand-children and several nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.



She was the grandmother of the late Jennine Morgenberger Falzone and sister of the late Edward Brown, Walter Brown, Delia Richenburg, Ruth Galiford, Marion Neeley and Mabel Pocock-Chapman.



Friends may call on Wednesday from 4 to 8 p.m. at the Bergen United Methodist Church, 27 South Lake St. Bergen where services will be at 11 a.m. Thursday. Memorials may be made to John C. Sable Heart Fund, 7211 Ivison Road, Byron, NY 14422 or to Bergen United Methodist Church, P.O. Box 216, Bergen, NY 14416. Burial will be in Millville Cemetery in Shelby, NY. Arrangements were completed by H.E. Turner & Co., Funeral Home of Bergen.
