Oakfield - Randall W. Johnson, 88, of Oakfield, a Crew Chief at Agway in Batavia, prior to his retirement, died Saturday, October 11, 2014 at his home in Oakfield under the care of HCR.
Mr. Johnson was born April 26, 1926 in Batavia, a son of the late Clarence and Pearl (Amos) Johnson.
He served during World War II with the US Navy, was an avid deer hunter and supported Duck's Unlimited. He was a dear family man.
He is survived by his loving wife of 57 years, Elenor (Gibson) Johnson; four children, David (Joyce) Clawson of FL, Rose (Mark) Weidner of Oakfield, Mary (William) Riley of Lyndonville and Mark (Rebecca Cook) Johnson of Bergen; 8 grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
He was the grandfather of the late Scotty R. Johnson and Rebecca J. Riley and brother of 3 late brothers and 4 late sisters.
Friends may call on Monday from 5 to 8 p.m. at Burdett & Sanford Funeral Home, 11 Maple Ave, Oakfield, where services will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday. Burial will be in St. Cecelia's Cemetery in Oakfield. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to a charity of the donor's choice.
