Bergen - Mr. Richard T. Maher, 86, of Bergen, passed away on Friday, May 16, 2014 at the Leo Center for Caring.
Mr. Maher was born September 2, 1927 in Riga, a son of the late Clarence and Eileen Lawler Maher.
A graduate of Bergen High School, Mr. Maher was a lifelong farmer and lifetime member of St. Brigid's Church.
He is survived by his brother, James (Ann) Maher of Bergen; his sister, Mary (late John) O'Rourke of Rochester; his brother-in-law, John (late Theresa) Keenan of Rochester and several nieces and nephews.
Friends may call on Sunday from 2 to 4 p.m. at the H.E. Turner & Co. Funeral Home, 51 South Lake Avenue, Bergen. His Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10 a.m. Monday at St. Brigid's Church, 18 Gibson Street, Bergen. Burial will be in St. Brigid's Cemetery, Bergen. Memorials may be made to St. Brigid's Church, P.O. Box 219, Bergen, NY 14416.
