Oakfield - Robert A. Emery, 80, of Oakfield, passed away on Friday, August 7, 2015 at Martin Linsin Residence, in Albion.

Bob was born March 19, 1935 in Albion, a son of the late Arthur and Harriett Glick Emery.

An animal lover, Bob enjoyed camping, racing and attending racing events with family. He liked to meet his friends at local diners where he would enjoy his coffee and toast and conversation.

Mr. Emery was a truck driver for Leaseway Transportation in LeRoy and owned Bob's Towing.

He is survived by his loving companion Cathy Barclay of Oakfield; two daughters, Jean (John) Cape and Nancy (Mark) McGuire, both of Clarendon; three grandchildren, James (Brianne) Emery of Oakfield, Amy (Shawn) Flynn of Virginia and Mark McGuire, Jr. of Clarendon; seven great-grandchildren, Brittny, Ryan, Elliana and Jamison Emery, Aidan, Bryce and Calin Flynn; four step-sons, Tim (Amy) Coughlin of Bergen, James (Pam) Johnson of Oakfield, Joseph (Tammy) Barclay of Oakfield and Randy (Jill) Barclay of Oakfield; a step-daughter, Karen (Mark) Stymus of Oakfield; 16 step-grandchildren, 4 step-great-grandchildren; his brother, Clarence (Wendy) Emery of Brockport; his sister, Belva Morrill of Darien and several nieces and nephews.

He is the brother of the late Arthur Emery.

Friends may call on Monday, August 10th from 4 to 7 p.m. at the Burdett & Sanford Funeral Home, 11 Maple Avenue, Oakfield, where services will follow visitation at 7 p.m. Graveside services will be held on Tuesday at 11 a.m. at Reed Cemetery.
