Bergen - Robert A. Letter, 63, of Bergen, passed away unexpectedly Tuesday, (April 1, 2014) at his home, in Bergen.
Mr. Letter was born January 28, 1951 in Rochester, a son of Veronica (Herbst) Rapp of Hilton, and the late Robert J. Letter.
He served his country honorably with the Army and was gifted in repairing pianos and organs. He enjoyed working with computers and was a true lover of animals, especially Isabelle. He was an avid Buffalo Bills and Syracuse Orange Basketball. He loved the outdoors and his family. He will be remembered as a loyal and helping person.
Surviving along with his mother are his siblings, Lawrence Letter of Atlanta, GA, Richard (Bonnie) Letter of Lake Villa, IL, Kathi (late Eric) Bucktooth of Rochester, Steven (Carol) Letter of Kent, WA, David (Dawn) Letter of Mechanicsville, VA. Several nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends also survive.
There will be no prior visitation. Bob's Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00 a.m., Monday (April 7, 2014) at St. Brigid's Church, 18 Gibson Street, Bergen. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Genesee Cancer Assistance, Inc., 16 Bank Street, Batavia, NY 14020. Burial, with full military honors will be in St. Brigid's Cemetery, Bergen.
