Batavia - Roger Michael Barber, 77 passed away on Friday, (March 3, 2023) at the Batavia VA Medical Center in Batavia, New York.
Mr. Barber was born December 19, 1945 in Elmira, a son of the late Richard E. Barber and Gertrude E. (Kraszewski) Bliss.
Roger served his country honorably with the United States Marine Corps from 1965-1967 earning the rank of Lance Corporal prior to his discharge.
He is survived by a brother, Raymond R. Barber, a sister, Jolene A. Barber, nieces, nephews, great-nieces and nephews, and cousins.
Services will be held at the convenience of the family. Burial with military honors was held in Saints Peter and Paul Cemetery in Elmira. Those wishing may make a memorial contribution in Roger's name to a charity of the donor's choice.
