ELBA - Rosamond H. Peterson, 93, of Elba, passed away peacefully Friday, 1/2/15, at UMMC, Batavia, surrounded by family, friends and love.
She was born in Volney, New York in 1921, the daughter of Haynes & Lillian (Simons) Snyder and was the wife of the late Harold A. Peterson.
A graduate of Buffalo State Teachers College, teaching at various schools until teaching 25 yrs. as Art teacher at (RSD) Rochester School for the Deaf. (Pre-K - HS), retiring in 1983. A longtime resident of Webster, NY, until moving to her daughter's home in 1994.
Surviving are her daughter Lorraine Damon, 3 grandchildren, Krista, Brandy & Robert Douglas, 5 great-grandchildren, Trevor, Gina, Damian, Chloe & Kaylee.
There are no prior calling hours and burial will be held privately at a future date in Volney.
