Obituary of Rose M. Hodgins
Basom - Rose M. Hodgins, 97, of Basom, passed away on Thursday, March 12, 2020, at Beechwood Continuing Care in Getzville.
Rose was born August 6, 1922, in Akron, a daughter of the late Frank and Mary (Skocic) Wukman.
A member of St. Padre Pio Parish, Rose enjoyed cooking, entertaining and gardening. She catered weddings in the Oakfield Alabama area and took the dog census for the town of Alabama. Rose was a school bus driver for the Oakfield Alabama Central School District for 30 years.
Survivors include her daughters, Gail (Larry) Vogt of The Villages, FL and Sue (Joel) Davis of Concord, NH; grandchildren, Melisa (John) Schrock of Akron, Jeremy Vogt of Port Orford, OR, Aaron (Whitney) Vogt of Land O'Lakes, FL, Andrew (Melissa) Davis of Hopkinton, NH and Kevin (Pamela) Davis of Hopkinton, NH; great-grandchildren, Lindsay Cahill and Erin (Trevor) Gray, Rylee and Taylor Vogt, Jack and Grant Davis and Birch and Ivy Davis; a great-great-granddaughter, Ameila Rose Gray; sisters, Mary Wukman of Williamsville, Catherine Gorman of Clarence and Millicent (Sidney) Rosenburg of Georgia and several nieces and nephews.
Rose is the wife of the late Curtis Hodgins, mother of the late Thomas Hodgins and sister of the late John Wukman and Anna Miller.
A Celebration of Life for Rose will be held at a later date. She will be laid to rest in Alabama Cemetery.
