Rose Strollo, 99, of Batavia, died on Sunday (July 23, 2017) at United Memorial Medical Center. Rose was born December 25, 1917 in Batavia, a daughter of the late Antonio and Carmella (Corrado) Strollo. Rose was a member of Ascension Parish and the Altar and Rosary Society at the church. She enjoyed cooking, gardening and helping out others. Rose was a nurse's aide at St. Mary's Hospital in Rochester. Survivors include two brothers, Albert Strollo of Batavia and Anthony (Jean) Strollo of LeRoy and many nieces and nephews. Rose is a sister of the late Michael (Anna) Strollo, Fred (Mary) Strollo, Mary (Alphonse) Ficarella, Antoinette (John) O'Geen, Pauline (Joseph) O'Geen, Frances Miceli and Florence (Joseph) Macaluso. Calling hours are Wednesday from 3:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at the Bohm-Calarco-Smith Funeral Home, 308 East Main Street, Batavia. Rose's Mass of Christian Burial will be at 9:30 a.m. on Thursday at Ascension Parish, 15 Sumner Street, Batavia. She will be laid to rest in St. Joseph's Cemetery, Batavia.
