Batavia - Mrs. Shirley A. Kempie, age 78, of Batavia, passed away on Thursday, October 24, 2013 at her home.
She was born April 2, 1935 in Basom, the daughter of the late John A. and Viola Frenz Meiser.
She is predeceased by her husband, Jack W. Kempie, who passed away September 5, 1992 and her son, James Kempie who passed away October 24, 1993.
She is survived by her children; Thomas Kempie of Greece, Mark Kempie of Batavia, Sheryl Majors of Batavia and Linda Kempie of Rochester; 12 grandchildren, several great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
There are no prior visiting hours. Private services will be held at the convenience of the family with burial in Grand View Cemetery. Please consider memorials to the family.
