Sophie A. McClurg, 83, of Stafford, passed away Monday (February 10, 2014) at her home.
Sophie was born August 31, 1930 in Batavia, to the late Theodore and Anna (Duda) Krywy.
She attended Batavia High School and enjoyed going to and watching NASCAR races. She also loved spending time with her grandkids.
Survivors include her husband of 47 years, Roy E. McClurg of Stafford; two sons, Glenn E. (Odette) McClurg of LeRoy and Douglas R. McClurg of Pavilion; one daughter, Janet G. Johannes of Stafford; two brothers, Alex Krywy of Morganville and John (Pat) Krywy of Ogden Center; one sister, Betty (Frank) Loncz of Stafford; six grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
She is the mother of the late Richard H. Dutton and a sister of the late Mary Muskoff.
Calling hours are Thursday from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the H.E. Turner & Co. Funeral Home, 403 East Main Street, Batavia. Services will be at 11:00 a.m. Friday also at the funeral home. Burial will be in Stafford Rural Cemetery, Stafford.
