Byron - Theodore W. Paine, 82, of Byron, a retired Security Guard from Kodak and Byron - Bergen Schools, passed away Saturday, (January 10, 2015) at Monroe County Community Hospital, in Rochester.
Mr. Paine was born February 11, 1932 in Clarion, PA, a son of the late George E. and Ida (Johnson) Paine.
Ted served his country honorably with the Marine Corps from 1953-1955 and was a member of the American Legion and VFW. He was very proud of his service to his country and to his community throughout the years.
He is the husband of the late Shirley (Bird) Paine, who passed away in 1992.
Mr. Paine is survived by his step-children, Margaret "Peggy" (John) Cunningham of Vero Beach, Fla, Judy (George) Ziobrowski of Syracuse, and John (Susan) Mikel of LeRoy; 4 grandchildren; 7 great-grandchildren. Several nieces and nephews, among them a special nephew, Phil (Victoria) Paine of North Chili also survive.
Along with his wife, Ted is preceded in death by all of his brothers and sisters.
Friends may call on Tuesday from 4 to 7 p.m. at H.E. Turner & Co. Funeral Home, 51 South Lake Street, Bergen. Ted's Funeral Service will be at 10:00 AM, Wednesday, (January 14, 2015) at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Rochester Presbyterian Home, 256 Thurston Rd, Rochester, New York 14619. Burial will be in Byron Cemetery, Byron.
