Oakfield - Virginia A. Harvey, 78, of Oakfield, a cashier at Walmart in Batavia for 16 years, died Wednesday, January 15, 2014 at Medina Memorial Health Hospital.
Ms. Harvey was born August 30, 1935 in Clarendon, a daughter of the late Stephen and Mary (Odre) Tokotch.
She formerly worked as a supervisor at the Orleans County Nursing Home for 35 years, enjoyed baking and loved her grandchildren and great-grandchildren very much.
Survivors include a daughter, Dolores (Lawrence B. Jr.) Lamie of Oakfield; a granddaughter, Nicole Boyce of Batavia; 3 great-grandchildren, Harley Boyce, Matthew Boyce, Jr. and Waylon Ferry, all of Batavia; a brother, Frederick Tokotch of FL; 4 sisters, Helen Wagner of CA, Betty (Rocco) Falleti and Julie (Dominic) Falleti, both of Batavia and Frances Pellegrino of NC; several nieces and nephews.
She was the grandmother of the late Stephen T. Ferry and sister of the late Julius Tokotch.
Friends may call on Saturday (February 22, 2014) from 2 to 5 p.m. at Burdett & Sanford Funeral Home, 11 Maple Ave., Oakfield, where services will follow at 5 p.m. Memorials may be made to the family.
