Batavia - Walter J. Henrici, 73, of Batavia, formerly of Middletown, NY, a banker for 35 years, most recently at M&T Bank in Monsey, NY, died Thursday, August 28, 2014 at New York State Veteran's Home, in Batavia.
Mr. Henrici was born June 13, 1941 in Englewood, NJ, a son of the late Frank and Regina (Quigley) Henrici.
He served with the US Army during the Vietnam War, attended the American Institute of Banking, Pace University and was a member of Resurrection Parish's St. Joseph's Church.
He is survived by his wife, Mary J. (Helfrich) Henrici whom he married November 25, 1967; a son, Christian M. (Denise) Henrici of Batavia; 3 grandchildren, Rachel Henrici, Ryan Henrici and Regan Henrici, all of Batavia and a brother, John (Eileen) Henrici of Norwood, NJ.
He was the brother of the late Francis Henrici.
Friends may call from 2 to5 p.m. Saturday at H.E. Turner & Co, Inc., 403 E. Main St., Batavia where a prayer service will follow at 5 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorials to Volunteers For Animals, P.O. Box 1621, Batavia, NY 14021 or to New York State Veteran's Home, 220 Richmond Ave, Batavia, NY 14020. A Memorial Mass will be held at the convenience of the family.
