Son of the late Walter and Beatrice (VanSlack) Sherman.
Mr. Sherman was a carpenter with the Local 276 in Rochester prior to his retirement. He was a member of the retiree's club and a member of St. Vincent de Paul Chruch. He was also an avid fisherman.
Beloved husband of Joan (Peco) Sherman of Bergen; loving father of 7; devoted grandfather of several grandchildren and many great-grandchildren; dear brother of 7.
Preceded in death by 2 siblings.
Calling, Friday 4 to 7 PM at H.E. Turner & Co. Funeral Home, 51 S. Lake St., Bergen. Mass of Christian Burial, Saturday, 9:00 AM at St. Vincent de Paul Church, 11 N. Main St., Churchville. Interment, St. Vincent de Paul Cemetery, Churchville.
In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to Hearts for ALS, 1899 South Ave, Rochester, NY 14620 or to ALS Assoc., Upstate NY Chap., 135 Old Cove Rd, Ste 213, Liverpool, NY 13090.
