Batavia - Mrs. Wanda V. Tempio, 101, a retired employee of Servo Mechanism Co. located in California, died Wednesday, January 2, 2013 at Genesee County Nursing Home, in Batavia.
Mrs. Tempio was born June 21, 1911 in Minneapolis, Minnesota, the daughter of the late Anthony and Gladys Slivinski Slominski.
She was a member of Resurrection Parish - St. Joseph's Church.
Her husband, the late Frank Tempio died in 1992.
Survivors include four sisters; Helen Best of Rome, NY, Celia Ratulowski of Batavia, Regina Hovey of Corfu and Irene Yorkowic of Florida. Serveral nieces and nephews also survive including Kathleen Jasinski and Gloria Andrews. She was the sister of the late Pearl Tatko, Rita Boring, Stanley and Anthony Slominski.
Friends may call on Monday from 10:00 to 11:30 am at the H.E. Turner & Co. Funeral Home, 403 E. Main St., Batavia. Prayers will be offered at 11:30 am at the funeral home followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 12:00 noon at Resurrection Parish - St. Joseph's Church, 303 E. Main St., Batavia. Burial will be in Elmwood Cemetery, Batavia.
