Byron - Warren A. Leaton, 90, of Byron, a former owner of Lea-View Farm in Byron, died Friday, December 19, 2014 at his home, in Byron.
Mr. Leaton was born June 5, 1924, a son of the late Alfred and Bertha Squires Leaton.
He was a member of the Byron Presbyterian Church, a Life Member of the South Byron Volunteer Fire Company, member of the Kiwanis Club of Byron, and the Cornell Cooperative Extension of Genesee County.
He is survived by his wife, Norine (White) Leaton, whom he married in 1951; a daughter, Cindy Favata of Bergen; 2 sons, James Leaton and Alan (Roxanne) Leaton, both of Byron; a brother, David (Joanne) Leaton of Byron; 8 grandchildren, Ann (Eric) Knaak of Honeoye Falls, Aimee (Jim) Austin of South Byron, Jeffrey Leaton and Jared Leaton, both of Byron, Alan Leaton, Jr. of Rochester, Ashlee Leaton and Adam Leaton, both of Byron and Melanie DiFalco of Long Island; 3 great-grandchildren, Kendall, Griffin and Jordan and several nieces and nephews.
He was the brother of the late Harry Leaton.
Friends may attend services at 3 p.m. on Saturday, January 3, 2015 at Byron Presbyterian Church which will be immediately followed by calling from 4:30 to 6 p.m. Saturday at S. Byron Recreation Hall, 7389 Route #237, South Byron, NY. (Elevator service is available at the church.) In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Byron Presbyterian Church, 6293 West Main St., P.O. Box 206, Byron, NY 14422 or to South Byron Volunteer Fire Company, PO Box 30, South Byron, NY 14557. Private burial will be in Byron Cemetery.
