William E. Kolmetz

William E. Kolmetz, 77, of Bergen, died Friday (June 2, 2017) at the Buffalo General Medical Center. William was born August 13, 1939 in Bergen, a son of the late Michael and Mary (Paduchak) Kolmetz. A life member of the Bergen Fire Department, William also served as a past chief. He served as the Town Justice for Bergen and belonged to the New York State Magistrate Association. He enjoyed collecting and fixing tractors and was a veteran, serving with the United States Army. William also delivered newspapers for the Rochester Democrat & Chronicle, Survivors include one daughter, Melodie (John Cuba) Kolmetz of Bergen; one son, Kevin (Kelly) Kolmetz of Rush; grandchildren, Evan and Owen Cuba and Elayna and William Kolmetz; one brother, Richard (Pam) Kolmetz of Stafford and several nieces and nephews. William is the husband of the late Suzanne J. Kolmetz and brother of the late Michael Kolmetz. Calling hours are Friday from 4 to 7 p.m. at the H.E. Turner & Co. Funeral Home, 51 South Lake Street, Bergen, where services will be Friday at 7:00 at the conclusion of calling hours. Burial with full military honors will be in Machpelah Cemetery, LeRoy.
