Tuesday, January 22, 2019Mary was a favorite relative, and this goes way back. My Mom knew her since she was born, and always had a lot a affection for Mary and her brothers. Shared memories of growing up, playing, baby-sitting, the life on the farm on Alexander Road, their grand-parents, this is all part of our family history… Mary was very generous to me, and shared stories and some treasures of her grandmother’s for which I’m very grateful. She told me she sang in school in a Gilbert and Sullivan operetta, and I liked to call her Little Buttercup, her role in ‘The Pirates of Penzance!’ We remember her wonderful cooking, especially German-style herring put up in jars. She made us all smile, and she’ll me missed. Mom (Leora Reinhart) and my brothers Paul and Ron, along with me, send to you all our sincere and deepest condolences, and our love.
